First ScreenShots of Tilly's Rose Garden - Spring!

Here are some first screenshots of TRG-Spring!

It's going to have a brighter color scheme to go with newness of growth so all the graphics are going to be "prettier" in a more child-like sense. There will be some rain however...assuming I can get it to work for me. I have a few other ideas too....

{Game Release} Tilly's Rose Garden; Seasons: Winter

It's finally here! The first of four mini games, having features like weather and pick a level menu along with ice like tension when moving the character....I Present to you.....

Works in MS Windows, I don't know about linux.

Programs Used:

•  GameMaker 8.0 - Game Creation and Construction, Minor Graphic Editing
• Goldwave - Free Version - Converting MP3's to .Wav, volume adjustment, and clipping down songs for animations.
•  GIMP - Graphics
•  Sony Acid - Free version - Sound Creation
•  Mp3 Quality Modifier - Music Compression

Creator's Notes:

Features:

•  Breakable-blocks and hammers.
•  Sliding effect as if you are on ice.
•   New sounds
•  Snowing Effect
•  Pick a Level Menu
•  Mitten Cursor

Irritations:

•  The cursor doesn't do away after you start the game (I haven't found a way to fix this)
•  When you have other applications opened with the game you will hear yourself going over the buttons if you are in a menu.
• If there is a 1 square opening you need to move around diagonally to get in. (This is because of the sliding effect)

Been a year already...!

Fixed! - New Point and little things are fixed.

I've fixed up some stuffs and added a new point.
When adding a new point and adding it to levels I then had to remake the pick a level buttons (2 of them) and remake the points and power-up's menu.

Last Minute Changes

I'm adding a few things which will make me have to make a few things over but it's all good I should get them done fast!

I have to remove a few things in levels and I want to add another point (MAYBE!).

Beta testing results back.

My Beta Tester told me back some results of what she found to be a little odd, I think most are easily fixable so I should be releasing this game (Winter) by or before HOPEFULLY the American holiday of Thanksgiving.(November 27th)

Okay well the video I posted...I've decided not to use it, it looks super small and well it takes up a lot of space that can make the game smaller so I'm just going to have this flashy load-screen instead.

Ignore the fact there is a Josh Groban Song in the background of the screenshot...LOL....

Opening Animation! - Winter

I wasn't sure how I'd go about a winter animation since I wanted snow, and I wanted it short so it doesn't make the game so big. This is what I came up with! The Snow I used a script from Fencepost a GIMP Scripter and I used a text effect in Windows Movie Maker.

Level Names!

I was trying to think up winter songs that I know to name the levels that wasn't Christmas in the name outright so I came up with these:

• Level 1 - Peppermint Winter (Owl City's Comedic Song)
• Level 2 - Ríu Ríu Chíu (Old Spanish Song)
• Level 3 - Let it Go! (Frozen....)
• Level 4 - Alaska (Sky Sailing)
• Level 5 - Once Upon a December (Anastasia [Don Bluth Movie])

Winter Progress...

Tilly's Rose Garden; Seasons: Winter is 75% completed give or take a few percents! I'm working on levels now and I have to make the sub menus and Game Information....After that I should be done...Oh yeah and add the music, I'm arranging the levels first this time so I can remember which song is with what level.

The Snail makes you slow for few moments and takes 90 points. - This has a sound all it's own (used for the boot in winter also)
The New Flowers (roses)  are new points. - They also have a new sound
The Grey Flower is a new point-drainer. - Takes 180 Points
The Butterfly is a redone version of the speed power up.

Have a new mouse!

Didn't really have the money for it at all but we got a mouse for 6 dollars new from logitech so yayyayaya!! Gonna go work on sth to play with my mousey! :3

I've updated the official website, making it  look more professional, it's not "perfect" but I'm noob so there's no reason to expect much...Anyways I hope you enjoy it!

New Website!

I've created a website separate from this blog! I will not be moving over to that site as my primary source as this is so much easier for me to use and it's more likely to be seen but it's just a little something extra! This was made from scratch so it there are a lot of bugs that's why...I'm bad at coding that's just a law of nature. LOL

I actually made that header in GameMaker then in GIMP...
